London Lonely Girls Club Embroidery Workshop with Ashley Knight
After the success of our first event together in February we’re thrilled to say that on Wednesday 7th May we’re again teaming up with the fabulous Ashley Knight for another evening embroidery workshop.
Join textile designer and weaver Ashley for a fun, hands-on upcycling session where you’ll learn how to create your own embroidered Smiley face patch using all recycled materials. You’ll design and stitch a unique patch, picking up basic embroidery, sewing, and upcycling skills along the way, that can be used for any future upcycling projects/to repair your own clothes. You will leave with a smiley face artwork piece or you can bring an old tote bag to decorate using your patch you have created. Leave with a custom upcycled tote, ideas for refreshing your wardrobe, and inspiration to repair and re-wear. All materials provided and recycled!
Ashley is an award-winning London-based upcycler, textile designer and weaver who creates colourful & sustainable textiles using deadstock and recycled materials. Alongside making Joyful upcycled Jackets & accessories with her own textiles & deadstock materials, she runs upcycling workshops for organisations, brands, and community groups, focusing on creativity, skill-sharing, and waste reduction.
Lonely Girls Club events are designed for members to attend solo and leave having met a fabulous group of new people to start building beautiful friendships with. Over 90% of those who attend our events come alone, so please do not feel nervous if you want to come solo and this would be your first event, as everyone is in the same boat and is also looking to have a lovely time, get creative and meet new people.

When: Wednesday 7th May, 6.30pm arrival for 7pm start.
Where: Cockpit Studios, Deptford
What: Cost for this event is £29.25 which includes all materials & tools you need for the class, your finished piece and expert instruction from Ashley.
Registration opens for this event on April 20th at 8pm

Unfortunately, not. For all Lonely Girls Club events registration is required, you can never just turn up on the day as all of our venues have a maximum capacity that we need to adhere to.
