This Galentine’s join us as we team up with Love Not Landfill to host a series of Charity Shop Workshops in some of London’s best charity shops! Three nights filled with laughter, learning, creating, shopping, building friendships and so much more.
For the second of our three workshops, on Tuesday 18th February we’ll be heading to Shelter in Wimbledon Village for a Sashiko embroidery workshop.

The Sashiko Workshop with Salvedge provides a safe and creative space for you to explore the art of visible mending through Sashiko stitching. With the help of sustainable fashion designer, Madeleine Morgan, you’ll learn the story of Sashiko embroidery, how it can be applied to contemporary fashion and gain the skills to embellish and repair your own clothing.

Love Not Landfill is a non-profit campaign, run by ReLondon, to encourage fast fashion fans to buy second-hand, swap, recycle and give to charity. We aim to encourage 16-24-year-old Londoners never to throw an unwanted item of clothing in the bin, and in these workshops you’ll be able to learn fun new skills, create something new and meet wonderful new people all at once!

Hosting the workshops will be a group of incredible designers from Loom. Loom is an upcycling app that connects you with 100+ fashion designers to redesign your clothes! Dye your clothes a new colour, alter the shape, embroider them or completely redesign them! Simply upload a photo of the item you want to redesign & browse hundreds of design ideas.

Shelter exists to defend the right to a safe home. In 2024, a record number of children were homeless. They want to make 2025 the year things change. No one needs to face homelessness or unsafe housing alone. Last year over five million people turned to Shelter for advice. Shelter is working to end the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and communities. Shelter has 77 charity shops across the UK, raising funds to support the fight for home.
