Terms of service


Event ticket purchase terms and conditions:

 

Refunds: We do not process refunds unless we have to cancel the event. If you can no longer attend please get in touch to let us know as we sometimes have a waiting list, and your spot can be passed on to another community member, however this is not guaranteed as for some events we do not have a waiting list or tickets may not sell out. 

Do keep in mind the terms of service when booking on to attend, and only register if you are 100% sure that you are available to attend, as by registering you are agreeing to these terms of service and that you understand that we do not offer or process refunds unless an event has to be cancelled. 

Bank Chargebacks: If we recieve a chargeback from your bank, for compliance reasons, we will also take this as notice from yourself that you no longer want to be a LGC community member, and therefore we will work to process removal of you from our membership streams within 30 working days unless this has already been done by yourself prior. If you would like all of your data removed from our systems, you will need to contact us seperately regarding this data request.  

Refunds & claims: Similarly to chargebacks if we recieve a refund claim, dispute or legal summons regarding a refund or charge, we will also take this as notice from yourself that you no longer want to be a LGC community member, and therefore we will work to process removal of you from our membership streams within 30 working days unless this has already been done by yourself prior. If you would like all of your data removed from our systems, you will need to contact us seperately regarding this data request.

Ticket exchange: Tickets for events are not exchangable, interchangable, transferable and cannot be used for a different event of a similar type or within a series. 

No shows: If you book on for an event, and on the day do not show up and do not inform us that you aren't able to attend then you are classed as a “no-show”, and you are taking responsibility to pay for any fee that we are charged or incur due to our numbers not being what we had arranged for.

We appreciate that life happens and that sometimes you cannot attend events that you had hoped to, however we simply ask that you send us a message to let us know if you're no longer able to attend. Sadly we've had multiple events where a significant number of community members just did not show up. If you are a no show to an event and do not give us notice that you will no longer be attending, by booking a ticket for the event you are agreeing that you will pay for any fee that we incur due to the no-show.

 

Drop outs: If you drop out from attending an event with less than 24hrs to go, and we cannot find someone to take over the spot, if we get charged for the lower number attending, then you are committing to paying any fee or charge we incur due to numbers not being what we arranged for. We can usually cover most drop out spots with someone from the waiting list, but this is not guaranteed. 

 

No show Policy: If you no show for multiple LGC events then you will be removed from the community by the system and will not be able to register for future events. We appreciate that life happens, however if someone regularly signs up for events and then doesn't turn up it is rude and disrespectful towards the LGC team and other community members, and it is just not at all fair, so if this behaviour happens multiple times then the system will remove the individuals from the community unless there are valid reasons not to.

Ticket inclusions & costs: Unless explicitly stated on the individual event registration page, your ticket is solely to attend the Lonely Girls Club event and does not include anything further. Some of our events include an activity, food, drink, goodie bag or additional elements, if this is the case this will be fully listed and outlined on the registration page. 

 

Accessibility: We always aim to ensure that every venue we use and event that we run is in a fully accessible venue to accomodate all community members, but on occasion this isn't possible for all needs and requirements. 

If you have specific accessibility needs please do reach out to us via email prior to booking on for an event so that we can confirm that the venue has everything in place to ensure that you will be able to attend and access all elements of the event in the best way, whether your needs are to do with physical access, hearing, facilities, allergy based or something additional.  

As per the booking policy and terms of service you agree to when registering, we do not offer refunds unless we have to cancel an event. So if you do have concerns or questions regarding accessibility please get in touch before booking a ticket so that we can make sure these are answered in full to give you all the information you may need!

 

Community member rules, terms & conditions:

 

Be Kind: LGC is safe space environment. We want this to be a place where people can feel comfortable, safe & at home. So please be kind and considerate to all within the community.

 

No hate or bullying: Hate, bullying, nastiness, racism, peer pressure or abuse within the group will not be tolerated - whether this is in posts or comments within the community, at events or direct messages to other members. Any behaviour of this kind is totally unacceptable and will result in you being removed and banned from the community. 

 

No sales, MLM or recruitment: This is not a sales, network marketing or recruitment group. We do not allow recruitment content, whether this is for paid or voluntary roles, or business opportunities. We do not allow within this community prospecting, sales or recruitment for network marketing or MLM opportunities. We do not allow sales of any kind or financial transactions within our digitial forums including tickets for concerts, shows or festivals.

 

No promotions or advertising: We do not allow promotions or advertising within The Lonely Girls Club whether this is in our digital forums or at our in person events. This is not a place for free advertising. If you would be interested in advertising to our community members or discussing a partnership, you can get in touch with us via email.

 

Flat shares & renting: To avoid the communities digital forums being spammed we do not allow individual posts regarding flat shares & renting. Please instead add these to the monthly renting thread.

 

No spammy content: No spammy or inappropriate content to be shared within our online forums or on posts within them. 

 

No promotion and advertising of groups: We do not allow promotion & advertising within the community. This includes similar groups, organisations, concepts, sports teams, social clubs or communities. Please be respectful of LGC, our members, team, founders and the community we have built here, this is not a space for free advertisement for your group or project, if you are wanting to promote something new that you are doing please do so via your own channels. If you are interested in collaborating, our events or working on a project together please get in touch via email.

Dot use the Lonely Girls Club name without consent: The Lonely Girls Club name, or that of any of our branches, cannot be used for any group/event/service etc. outside of the community without explicit prior consent from founder owner Holly Cooke.

Chat Groups: The Lonely Girls Club does not run, host or facilitate any WhatsApp or chat groups of any kind, the only communication forum that we have is the digital forums in our Facebook communities. Any WhatsApp groups that might be shared in our digitial forums are not associated, hosted or facilitated by us, and the admins, individuals or team running, or who have created this, are not part of our organisation or team. Anything that is shared in these chat groups is not associated or endorsed by The Lonely Girls Club. Use of the Lonely Girls Club name, brand, likeness or organisation is prohibited without explicit permission from the Lonely Girls Club team and founder, this includes in any form of chat groups. 

Illegal activity: The Lonely Girls Club is not responsible or liable for any illegal or imoral activity undertaken by our community members. If any member is found to be taking part in illegal activity within our digitial forums or at our events they will be immeditately removed from the community, or asked to leave the event. If necessary we will also work with or support relevant authorities in investigations into this illegal activity.

Demographics: The Lonely Girls Club is an over 18's only community. By joining our digitial forums, signing up to our newsletter or attending one of our events, you are confirming that you are over 18. Anyone found to be under the required member age will be removed from the community due to child protection regulations.
