London Lonely Girls Club Bag Charm Embroidery Workshop

Time to try something new? By popular demand we’re so so excited to announce that we’re again teaming up with textile upcycler & designer Ashley Jess Knight, for a fun and hands-on bag charm making workshop. You’ll learn simple embroidery skills to create your own colourful embroidered bag charm using recycled materials and embellishments!

Choose your charm shape from colourful fabrics & templates. Personalise your charm with embroidery or embellish it with vintage & recycled beads & buttons! Then learn a relaxing hand sewing stitch to finish your charm before filling it with sustainable stuffing, alongside a room full of like minded women who’re also looking to have fun and make new friends too! 
You will leave with a unique embroidered bag charm whilst picking up basic embroidery and upcycling skills. Use this workshop for upcycling inspo & sustainability tips, that can be used for any future upcycling or repair projects. All materials provided are recycled and beginner friendly.

Ashley is an award winning London-based upcycler, textile designer and weaver who creates colourful & sustainable textiles using deadstock and recycled materials. Alongside making Joyful upcycled Jackets & accessories with her own textiles & deadstock materials, she runs upcycling workshops for organisations, brands, and community groups, focusing on creativity, skill-sharing, and waste reduction.

Where: Cockpit Studios, Deptford 
What: The cost for this event is £32 includes all materials and equipment, expert teaching & instruction from Ashley, your finished embroidered bag charm to take home, non-alcoholic drinks and time spent with lots of other fabulous women.
