London Lonely Girls Club Cross Stitch Workshop

Fancy learning something new, getting crafty and making new friends? Then join the Lonely Girls Club as we team up with Slow Hands Society for a crafter-noon creating a fabulous Cowboy Stamp Cross Stitch on Saturday 26th April. 
Whether you've cross stitched before or this is your first time picking up a sewing needle this workshop is open to all skill levels. You'll learn all the basics of cross stitch and have plenty of time to put your new skills into action with your own cross stitch kit. There will be time to ask questions one on one with your instructor, as well as mingle and chat with other crafty gals. 
During the workshop you will learn how to set up your embroidery hoop, learn how to read a cross stitch guide, how to cross stitch and back stitch, and how to apply the felt backing once you've completed your kit! We'll also be sharing our best tips and tricks to make your piece pop so that you'll be a cross stitch queen in no time. The average sewing time of this kit is 8 hours, so you'll be able to take it home with you to have lots more mindful moments.

Inspired by a desire to help others improve their mental health, reduce screen time and learn new skills, our range of craft kits are handmade with beginners of all skill levels in mind. Designed for those who like things fun, bright and colourful we're on a mission to make crafting cool again! Whether your into embroidery, cross stitch, sewing or painting we want to help you have your next "Thanks, I made it!' moment.

Where: Piano House, Brixton
What: The cost for this event is £29. This includes:
-    Expert instructor lead workshop
-    Aida fabric (fabric with holes to stitch onto)
-    4" embroidery hoop
-    Cross stitch instructions and video tutorials
-    DMC high quality threads (with enough to make mistakes)
-    Sewing needle and pink backing felt.
