Brighton Lonely Girls Walk Club with Nightwalkies

Save the date - you’ve got plans (and your dog is invited)!
This winter, for the second year, Lonely Girls Walk Club is so excited to be joining NightWalkies by YuMOVE, a national initiative bringing women and their  dogs together for evening walks during the darker winter months.
We’re hosting walks across four Lonely Girls Club cities in Manchester, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Brighton for you girls to attend solo, get your steps in, meet new people, have a laugh and make memories this winter season! And if you’ve got a furry friend, we’d so love for them to join us for our afternoons too! 

New research commissioned by YuMOVE among 2,000 UK women dog owners reveals that almost two thirds (64%) cut back on evening dog walks during the darker winter months. Among these women, nine in ten say concerns about personal safety play a role. But it’s not just women who miss out – their dogs do too. More than half (52%) of women feel guilty about their dogs getting less exercise, while 42% miss the fresh air and exercise themselves and a quarter (26%) miss the chance to clear their heads. 
That’s why we’re joining NightWalkies by YuMOVE, a national initiative bringing women and their dogs together for evening walks during the darker winter months – helping women feel more confident getting out, while giving dogs more opportunities to enjoy the walks, exercise and time together they love.

NightWalkies is all about good company, community and enjoying the simple pleasure of walking our dogs together. Created by pet wellness brand YuMOVE, with support from women’s personal safety app WalkSafe, it brings women together who would welcome some company on their evening walks.

Expect a relaxed, sociable group walk, the chance to meet some lovely women (and dogs!) and a YuMOVE goodie bag to take home.  
Registration for this event will open on October 28th  at 8pm
